Iced Tea In Your Beer?

The Molson Coors Brewing Company is unveiling an iced tea flavored beer. Apparently market research tells them that people are using ice tea to improve the flavor of Coors Light. Frankly, I don't see the point. As I asked recently, "Why not start with good tasting beer in the first place?"

Perhaps a bit of Budweiser Chelada to go along with it?

H/T to 45er over at Barrel Smoke for bringing this to our attention.

  1. Yeah. Why would someone ruin Iced Tea like that?

  2. I cannot dispute any of the comments to so far. This seems like an admission that the beer sucks and needs a flavor enhancer/masker. Like putting fruit in Corona.

  3. I think your comment in the comment section sums it up best. Change the taste in any way and it will probably be better.

  4. Coors needs to put beer in their beer.

  5. What I'm waiting for is blog visits from the Coors folks. Whenever I mention Bud, I see hits in my logs from A-B.
