  1. Is there no tasting at Total Wine on Friday?

  2. Ryan,

I've received no info from TW this week. Sometimes Peggy gets busy and plans the tastings late. As soon as I hear something I'll update the list.

  3. Thanks. I split my time between NC and VA with my family still in NC. With all the wet weather coming on Saturday I was going to stay here instead of driving into it. I plan on hitting some if not all of these....finally.

  4. 'Corks & Kegs' is near my woods but not so sure about their apparent city location 'B/h Exxon Gas Station'... altho a savvy craft-beer geek could do fairly well there given C&K/s 10.99 USD mix-n-match six-pack offer.

Not the best weekend to lay in a fresh supply...given TS Hanna will be touring my neighborhood on SAT and the near-certain likelihood of multi-day power outages following her passage.

  5. I went to Blue and Gray and that was very good. Ample sampling to be had and good conversation. I was really impressed with their Belgian and Octoberfest. I then proceeded to Total Wine for the Octoberfest beer tasting. They had no idea what I was talking about. I was happy to see some new O'fest beers and some pumpkins so I purchased a few. I went further down Rt 3 to Kybecca and sampled the Coopers and Avery 15. Both average. I stocked up there on some 07 and 08 Stone vertical and some pumpkins and O'fests as well.

  6. Ryan, glad you had enjoyed the tastings. My apologies for the confusion on the Oktoberfest tasting. I jumped the gun, it's scheduled for Oct. 4.
